![]() ![]() I can switch out the boot drive, ram and battery with just one panel. I absolutely love how easy it is to service this laptop. Get a set of headphones/external sound card. There is definitely room in the laptop for a bigger battery. Sony used the same battery as its 13 inch laptop, which has much less screen/resolution to power. 4-5 hours if I turn the screen and power down, 2-3 hours at full power/brightness. The biggest drawback I have on this laptop is the battery life. This is fantastic- it kills the battery and heats like crazy and I wouldn't regularly play this even with a cooling pad because I'm sure the heat will wreck it someday, but its nice to do some casual gaming when I want to. ![]() Every so often when I am out and about doing work, I need to take a break with SC2 and this plays it full options maxed. Obviously you may have to dial down graphics because playing at the native 1080 res really pushes the heat and processor, but the fact that you can game on this is awesome. Don't get me wrong, you won't want to buy this for gaming - the poor ventilation means that I am always gaming on a cooling pad-but it is very capable of short impromptu games - including BF3 and Starcraft 2. EDIT: I've recently started to game and this laptop sings- the Nvidia 740mLE is no match for a real gamer rig laptop but for a business class laptop, I'm impressed. The dedicated graphics 640M LE was also a plus as I am not a gamer, but I like to have a little firepower if necessary even if its not super strong. I needed something with a numeric pad for lots of number crunching, lightweight for being on the go frequently, thin for the bag, metal because I love metal and a 1080 screen because I always have two documents opened side by side. I bought this laptop after considering a variety of 15 inchers. ![]()
